Standing at an insane 19 feet and 4 inches tall, Hythlodaeus would be intimidating enough even without the standard Ancient wear. As beings that disapproved of individuality being on display, they were required to wear black robes with hoods, and masks that covered the upper half of their face. Hair was generally hidden under the hood. The lack of a mask was seen as unseemly but necessary in certain professional situations where recognition was necessary.
The mask he wore was a standard one, white with silver patterns on it. This same mask was used by many others. Though eye holes are visibly a part of it, eyes are inexplicably never visible through the mask.
